Renee Doreen Edwards

Renee Doreen Edwards, 47, of Carbondale, passed away April 29, 2011 at St. Francis Health Center.

She was born July 7, 1963 in Topeka the daughter of Donald Lee and Janet Louise (Hawkins) Ackors.

Renee loved fishing and surfing the internet.  She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was married to Jonathan P. Edwards on April 9, 1994 in Topeka.  He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kayla Miller of Topeka and Toshia Thompson (Jonathan) of Carbondale, one son Josey Allen Edwards of Carbondale and four sisters, Donna Pflaum (Michael) of Osawatomie, Sondra Keith (Terry) of Topeka, Paula Wathen (Kerry) of Mayetta and Tina Myrick (Mike) of Holton.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6th.  Following the Memorial Service the family will receive friends at the Carbondale Community Center.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Renee Edwards Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home, 800 SW 6th Ave., 66603.
