Mildred “Millie” Williams, 89, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.
Millie was born September 29, 1921 in Topeka the daughter of Frank and Delia (Clohessy) Harrold. She was a lifelong Topeka resident until she moved to Dodge City to be cared for by her daughter Linda. She was a homemaker who gave loving care to her children and then her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church.
Millie married Harold C. Williams on February 25, 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents an infant son, Donald Wayne Williams, three brothers, Howard, Clarence and George, two sisters, Marguerite Trimmell and Gertrude Clinton.
Survivors include three sons, Richard and his wife Connie Williams of Platte City, MO, Robert Williams, Ronald Williams and his wife Christine all of Topeka, three daughters, Janice Hughes and her husband Rick of Hawthorne, FL, Sharon Unrub of Dallas, TX., Linda Collins and her husband Billy of Dodge City, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Millie will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
