James Michael Conway

James Michael “Mike” Conway, 56, of Topeka, passed away March 19, 2011 at St. Francis Health Center.

He was born June 17, 1954 in Paola, the son of Gene and Helen Beaver who preceded him in death.  He grew-up in the Perry community.

 Mike was a field service representative for Recycling Services International the past fourteen years.  He previously worked for Hamm’s Construction.

 Hobbies of Mike’s included fishing and any thing involved with Kansas University.

 He married Diana Lee Branch on September 20, 2003 in Topeka.  She survives.

 Other survivors include a son Jeremy Conway and his wife Amy of Lawrence, a brother, David Conway and his wife Fran of Cohoes, NY and an aunt, Barbara Jean Smith of Shawnee. 

 Mike will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. Friday where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and sent in care of the funeral home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka 66603.
