Shirley Ann (Suchy) Weimer, 65, of Topeka, died January 29, 2011 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born in Great Bend, Kansas on May 19, 1945 the daughter of Elmer and Esther Ruth (Daubert) Suchy.
Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed being a grandmother.
She married Ernest Lincoln Weimer on June 5, 1971 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia, Kansas. He survives. She is also survived by two sons, Christopher Pruyser and his wife Amy of Delia, Kansas, and Curtis Pruyser of Hoyt, Kansas, a daughter, Kim Gabrick and her husband Joe of Topeka, a sister Sharon (Suchy) Meyer and her husband Howard of Lenexa, Kansas, a brother Robert Daubert and his wife Olga of Florida, five grandchildren; Garrett Pruyser, Erica Pruyser, Cory Pruyser, Connor Pruyser and Cailyn Gabrick. She was preceded in death by a brother Terry Suchy.
Shirley was cremated. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5th at the Highland Park United Methodist Church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held later at the Alpine Cemetery near Turkey Pointe at Melvern Lake.
