Meredith Louise (Stearns) Potterf, of Topeka, KS formerly of Indianapolis, IN, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Topeka from a long fought battle with multiple myeloma.
Meredith was born on October 27th in New Orleans, LA the daughter of John R. and Mae Bell (Holt) Stearns.
She was self employed in Indianapolis, IN for many years prior to moving to Topeka to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Indianapolis for the past 20 Years.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Potterf of Topeka, KS. her siblings Ken Stearns of Gautier, MS and Jessica Stearns of Bonita Springs, FL and her beloved Schnauzer, Bailey.
Meredith willed her body for anatomical study to the University of Kansas Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Meredith’s memory to the Kansas Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603.
