Frances R. Martin

Frances R. Martin, 93, of Topeka, died October 5, 2010 at Sunrise of Lenexa Senior Living Center.

She was born on November 20, 1916 in Loretto, Kansas located in Rush County the daughter of Joseph H. and Catherine (Gibler) Urban. 

Frances was a homemaker.  She was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church.

She married Joseph D. Martin in Topeka, Kansas on April 5, 1948.  He preceded her in death on May 5, 1991.  Frances is survived by a son Kenneth J. and his wife, Elaine Martin of Topeka, two daughters, Joan M. Martin of Overland Park, Ks. and Mary K. and her husband, Bruce Owens of Lenexa, a granddaughter Kristen Martin and a grandson, Brian Martin, and a sister-in-law JoAnn Urban of Kansas City., and many nieces and nephews.

Frances will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Mater Dei Holy Name Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
