Robert Ritter

Robert “Max” Ritter, 75, of Topeka, passed away September 18, 2010 at Midland Hospice.

He was born June 11, 1935 in Kansas City, MO the son of Harold Edgar and Florence Alma (Rouse) Ritter.

Max served in the United States Air Force for twenty years retiring as a Master Sergeant.  He later was employed by American Home Life Insurance Company for over twenty years.

He loved to ride his motorcycle.

Max was an officer of the 90th Reunion Group.

He was married to Patricia Diane Moberly on September 10, 1961 in Excelsior Springs, MO.  She survives.

Other survivors include three children, Robert Carl Ritter of Kansas City, MO, Holly Lynn Pridey of Topeka and Michael Patrick (Charlene) Ritter of Dayton, OH, a twin sister, Maxine Gray of Independence, MO and a sister Doris Ritter of Kansas City, MO.  Eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  A brother Glenn Ritter preceded him in death.

Max will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m...  A graveside service with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Kearney, MO.
