Michael Ralph Albright

Michael Ralph Albright, 69, passed away August 2, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital.  He was born on February 14, 1941 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, the son of Ralph H. and Rosemond Annie (Zeller) Albright.

Mike went to Assumption Grade School and Highland Park High School.

He worked at the Santa Fe Shops and later worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Mike was a member of Mater Dei Parish.

On July 24, 1971 he married Yvonna K. Miller at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Perry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Albright in 1995, a son Michael D. Albright in 1974 and a granddaughter Crystal Albright in 1986.

Michael is survived by his wife, Yvonna of the home, three daughters, Celestine M. Colon of Wichita, Chantel M. Albright of Grantville and Danielle M. (Clint) Wathen of Topeka, two sons, Larry D. Albright and Charles M. Albright of Topeka.  He is also survived by his mother Rosemond Annie Albright and three brothers, Howard (Joy) Albright, Ralph (Debbie) Albright, Brian (Sondra) Albright all of Topeka.  Five grandsons, Michael and Thaddeus Wathen of Topeka, and Richie (Christina), Joseph and Vincent Schroeder of Wichita, and one granddaughter Rose Schroeder of Wichita, two great grandsons, Kristien and Kamren Schroeder and one great granddaughter Kylen Schroeder of Wichita also survive.

Michael will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.  A parish rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Mater Dei’s Assumption Church.  A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo.
