Manuel “Mano” Ramirez, 66, of Topeka, passed away August 1, 2010 at Stormont-Vail Health Care.
He was born October 10, 1943 in Topeka the son of Espiririon and Amelia (Tinoco) Ramirez.
Mano served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America.
Mano is survived by; four daughters, Christina Dirks, Dar Ramirez, Daniela Ortega and Patricia Castor, five sisters, Evelyn Ramos, Rosalie Cook, Melinda Feltner, Graciela Doty and Patricia Rodriguez, and two brothers Gabriel Ramirez and Ulalio Ramirez. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Manuel will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. a prayer service and rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
