Imelda R. “Mellie” Eisenbarth, 85, of Topeka, died July 16, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 3, 1925 in Baileyville the daughter of Bert and Anna (Rilinger) Hasenkamp.
Mellie was a Day Care Provider in her home for thirty-one years. In her spare time she enjoyed embroidery and playing pitch
She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503.
Mellie was married to Maurice W. “Morrie” Eisenbarth on October 8, 1947 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Corning. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a brother Clarence Hasenkamp and a sister Rita Fox.
She is survived by one daughter Judy Bina and her husband Ken, two sons, Dennis Eisenbarth and his wife Diane, and Rodney Eisenbarth and his wife Connie all of Topeka. Five grandchildren, Mark, Pam, Brent, Brad, Ashley and one great grandson Aydin also survive.
Mrs. Eisenbarth will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. followed by a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a. m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will be served in Rossiter Hall at Assumption Church following the burial.
