Ashley S. (Hawley) Day-Johnson, 25, of Topeka, died June 29, 2010 in Louisiana.
She was born to Ernest T. Hawley and Monica M. (Cortez) Kirby on July 14, 1984 in Topeka, Kansas.
Ashley was a graduate of Topeka High School and had attended Washburn University.
Ashley was married to Christopher Day-Johnson in Topeka.
She was a homemaker and was currently attending college in Louisiana.
Ashley loved music, reading and movies. She was adventurous, fearless and always continued to try and better herself in every way. She worked endlessly to provide for her children and make them happy. She always thought of others before herself, trying to make everyone happy with the smallest or biggest surprises she could give. She was a devoted mother who leaves behind her most precious gifts, her two children. It is with broken hearts we return her to be with God, but this is not goodbye, it is until we see her smiling face again in heaven where she will be watching over us.
Ashley is survived by her son Angelo Joseph Day Hawley and his dad Tommy Day, daughter Amelia Valen Morris Hawley and her dad Mark Morris, her mother, Monica M. Kirby, father, Ernest T. Hawley, step-father, Donny Schiffbauer, two sisters, Sharon Kirby Smart and Stacy Kirby Roy, two brothers, Martin Kirby and Ryan M. Hawley, half-brother, Blaine Hawley, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, close cousins and many friends.
A Memorial Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and a Prayer Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Graveside inurnment will be on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
