Sabina M. Terry, 95, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born December 30, 1914 in Lansing the daughter of Manuel and Bibbana (Puente) Martinez.
Sabina was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Legion of Mary and Perpetual Adoration all at the church. She was also one of the original members of the Bells of 1933, a volunteer at the Fiesta Mexicana and at church and loved the walk and visit with family and friends.
She was married to Paul P. Terry, Sr. on December 30, 1939 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1993. She was also predeceased by a brother James and a sister Antonia Lopez.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Terry Jr. and wife Anna of Topeka and Robert “Bob” Terry and wife Vicki Sue of Portland, Oregon, two daughters, Aileen “Susie” Buehner and husband Stephen of Wasilla, Alaska, and Cindy Terry of Topeka, one brother Joe Martinez and one sister, Jane Rangel both of Topeka. Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive her.
Mrs. Terry will lie in state at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Monday from 4-8 p.m. where a Parish vigil will be at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemtery.
