Amanda Harmer

Amanda Lenore Harmer, 50, of Topeka, died February 16, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.

She was born in Crookston, Minnesota on December 16, 1959 the daughter of Richard Allen and Lenore Ann (Chouinard) Peterson. 

She was a graduate of Central High School in Muncie, Indiana.

Amanda worked for Annie’s Place and previously at Mr. D’s.  She loved to read, camp, canoeing, and anything related to the water.

She is survived by her companion, Earl Hicks, her mother, Lenore Chouinard of Muncie, Indiana; a son, Roy P. York of Muncie, Indiana, a daughter Michelle L. Peterson of Topeka, two brothers, Christopher and Jessie and a sister, Yvonne, and three grandchildren, A. J. Garinger, Shane Garinger Jr. and M. J. Baker.

Amanda will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Newbury.
