Genaro Ortiz

Genaro “Uncle Hank” Ortiz, 73, of Topeka, died January 12, 2010 at his home.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 19, 1936 the son of Domingo and Joaquina (Ortiz) Ortiz.

Genaro worked for the Topeka State Hospital prior to his retirement.

He is survived by four brothers, Cato Ortiz and wife Roberta of Plant City, Florida, Larry Ortiz of Topeka, Juan Ortiz and wife Auda of El Paso, Texas, Felipe Ortiz of Topeka, and one sister, Marcelina Ortiz-Juarez and one half sister Rachelle R. Vega Retana both of Topeka and many nieces and nephews.

Genaro was cremated.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
