Georgina Didde

Georgina A. Didde, 85, of St. Joseph, MO formerly of Topeka passed Sunday, November 29, 2009 at her home.

She was born August 8, 1924 in Topeka the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Boos) Leiker.

Georgina had previously been employed by the AT & SF Railway.  She was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral.  While living in Topeka she was a member of Assumption Catholic Church where she helped with funeral dinners.

Georgina was married to John A. Didde on October 11, 1948 in Topeka.  He preceded her in death on January 16, 2003.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Alban, Martina, Florentina, Catherine, Edgar, John and Virginia Lorraine.

She is survived by one son, Daniel J. (Mary Ann) Didde of St. Joseph, MO, two daughters, Angela Didde of Scottsdale, AZ, Roxanne (Mark) Netemeyer of Shawnee and one brother Leo Leiker of Topeka.  Two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Karl and a great grandson Jacob also survive.

Georgina was lovingly cared for by Pam, Evelyn and Linda during her last years.

Mrs. Didde will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mater Dei’s Assumption Church.  Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
