Marini A. McKnight, 34, of Topeka, died October 26, 2009.
She was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 13, 1975 the daughter of Paul and Dana (Beaver) McKnight.
Marini worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for KNI and most recently for area nursing homes.
She loved to take care of her children, and enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, and having parties for family and friends. Marini worked hard as a fund raiser to help victims of violence.
Marini was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her parents, Paul McKnight and Dana McKnight, her step mom, Sonja Stubbs, five children; Da’Vonna Rayton, Ellease Rayton, Rolayna Moore, MacCaine Moore and Nivea Moore, and a granddaughter, De’Asia Sanders. She is also survived by four brothers, Stephen McKnight, Earlie Ray McKnight, and Joseph McKnight and Kyle Cameron, and a sister Ana Ama McKnight and her grandparents, Joe and Carol Beaver and Hazel Esquibel.
Marini will lie in state at the El Shaddai Ministries Church of God in Christ after 9:00 a.m. on Monday with services following at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marini McKnight Memorial Fund and sent in care of the Educational Credit Union.
