Dominic “Dom” Tinoco, 40, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Select Specialty (St. Francis) Hospital.
Dominic was born May 14, 1969 in Topeka the son of Victor G. Tinoco, Jr. and Dixie Lee Crisman Tinoco.
He was employed by H & R Rubber before he retired because of illness. He previously was employed by Shawnee County in the Maintenance Department. Dominic received an associate’s degree from Topeka Technical College.
The center of Dominic’s world was his children. His hobbies included playing Texas Hold’em with his family on Friday nights and low-riders.
He was a member of Mater Dei Parish.
Dominic is survived by his parents of Topeka, four daughters, Adrianna Burch of Kansas City, Mo, Aubrian Spencer in NC, twins, Bryarra and Tyarra Tinoco both of Topeka, one son Dominic Tinoco, Jr. of Topeka, two sisters, Victoria Valdivia (Robert) and Lucia Tinoco (James Ramirez) all of Topeka and two brothers, Victor Tinoco III and Demetrus Tinoco (Amy) all of Topeka. A grandmother Lucille Tinoco of Topeka also survives.
Dominic will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mater Dei’s Assumption Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dominic Tinoco Memorial Fund and sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, 66603.
