Martina M. Miller

Martina M. Miller, 63, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at her home.

She was born September 15, 1945 in Munich, Germany the daughter of Imfried and Martina (Wimmer) Woehrl.

Martina was employed at JoAnn Fabrics for over thirty years before she retired.  It was at JoAnn’s she was able to share her love of sewing with others.  She also enjoyed gardening and cats.

She was of the Roman Catholic Faith.

Martina was married to John P. Miller on October 6, 1964 in Auburn.  He preceded her in death on December 19, 2002.

Survivors include; two brothers, Gerhart Woehrl of Munich, Germany and Hartmut “Fred” Woehrl of Granite City, Il, one sister, Helgard Kemnitzer of Munich, Germany and three nieces, Christine Fairchild of St. Louis, MO, Melissa Clevenstine of St. Louis, Mo and Sandy Robertson of Tampa Bay, FL.  Three great nieces also survive.

Martina was cremated.  At her request no services will be held.
