Judith Copeland

Judith A. “Judy” Copeland, 66, of Topeka, died June 2, 2009 at Fairlawn Heights Assisted Living.

She was born in Plainview, Minnesota on January 23, 1943 the daughter of Glenn and Luella (Senst) Goetz. 

Judy was a member of the Catholic faith and Philip Billard Post #1650 of the VFW Auxiliary.

She married Frederick Joseph Neugebauer on October 9, 1965.  They later divorced.  Judy married Malcolm Gatchell Copeland on February 8, 1975.  He preceded her in death on July 13, 1990.  She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Bennett of Lawrence, Kansas and a son, Anthony Neugebauer of Westminster, Colorado, and two grandchildren, Logan Bannister and Kailey Neugebauer, and extended family, Thomas Bush and family of Deerfield, Wisconsin.  She was preceded in death by a brother Larry Goetz.

Her family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m.  Private inurnment will be in Topeka Cemetery.
