Esther Coe

Esther D. (Debacker) Coe, 84, of Topeka, died April 13, 2009 at her home.

Mrs. Coe was born November 17, 1924 at Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Arthur A. and Rosalia (Csitkovits) Debacker.  She spent her life in Topeka and attended Seaman High School and Strickler’s Business College.

She was employed by Beatrice Foods, Topeka Supply Depot, and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

Mrs. Coe was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Parish.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Albert H. Debacker, Arthur D. Debacker and Leo B. Debacker; her sister, Teresa I. Debacker; her son, Frederick C. Coe, III; and her grandson, Zachary Arthur Patton.

She is survived by her grandson, Frederick C. Patton and his wife, Kim; her great-grandchildren, Zachary D. Patton, Andrew M. Patton, and Emily L. Patton; and her daughter-in-law, Debra A. Patton and her husband, Terry.

Mrs. Coe will lie in state on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.  Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
