Mark William Ross, 50, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at his home.
Mark was employed in the parts department at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company at the time of his death.
He was born September 13, 1958 in Burlingame the son of Armin D. & Joetta M. (Riley) Ross. Mark was a graduate of Topeka West High School.
Mark loved animals and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Mark was preceded in death by a niece Brooke Barr.
Survivors include his parents Armin and Joetta Ross of Topeka, two brothers, Michael Ross and his wife Kim of Kingwood, TX and Ed Ross and his wife Julie of Topeka and a sister Linda Fletcher and her husband Ron of Rayville, Mo. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mark will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Parish Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Church or the Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., 66603.
