David Anthony Munoz

David Anthony Munoz, 56, of Topeka, died January 25, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 15, 1952 the son of Francisco and Mary (Trinidad) Munoz.

He enjoyed volunteering for Church activities and several social service agencies.  He loved Mexican music.

David is survived by three brothers, Arthur, Manuel and Robert Munoz all of Topeka, three sisters, Gloria Vela of Portage, Indiana, Judy Flowers and husband Daniel of Topeka and Barbara Barron and husband Robert of Topeka, many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved poodle, Sugar.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frank Munoz Jr. and two sisters, Anita Ross and Norma Ortiz.

David will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery.
