Hale Daniel Simons, 11, of Topeka, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in the ER of Stormont-Vail Health Care.
He was born March 19, 1997 in Topeka the son of Tony E. and Julie (Crofoot) Simons.
Hale enjoyed many activities including playing the piano and video games, art, birds, and building things with legos. Most of all Hale loved doing whatever his big brothers did.
He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was a sixth grader at Most Pure Heart of Mary School where he played on the basketball team.
Hale is survived by his parents, five brothers, Mark of Topeka, Mick of Fayetteville, AK, David, Kevin and Joseph all of the home. His grandparents Gene and Jeanette Simons of Americus also survive.
Hale will lie in state at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hale Simons Scholarship Fund at Most Pure Heart of Mary School sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, 66603.
