Ethel Marie Petesch

Ethel Marie Petesch, 89, of Topeka, died November 3, 2008 at Select Specialty Hospital.

She was born on February 4, 1919 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Preston W. and Pearl A. (Luthye) Groat.

She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. 

Marie married Leo A. Petesch in Topeka, Kansas on November 1951.  He preceded her in death on October 5, 1991.  She is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Ruth Petesch of Mission, Texas; two sons, David P. Petesch of Topeka, Kansas and William L. Petesch of Smithville, Missouri, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a sister, Vera Fae Glaab of Mission, Texas.

Mrs. Petesch will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Parish Vigil Service will be at 6:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
