Loleta Miller

March 19, 1962 — October 14, 2008

Loleta “Lisa” Miller, 46, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Stormont-Vail Health Center.

She was born March 19, 1962 in Gouldings, UT the daughter of Samuel T. and Lupita M. (Isaac) Holiday.  Lisa went to school at Kayenta Unified Schools and attended Haskell Junior College where she was on the honor roll.  Her interests included astronomy, sewing, and arts and crafts.

Lisa previously worked for the I-70 Auto Auction and currently was an employee of Walmart.  She was a member of the Navajo Tribe with the Taachini Clan and born for the Todichiini Clan.

She is survived by:  her children, Sonya Jean Kornelly of Las Vegas, Alisa Mae Rose Miller of Lawrence, and Dmitri Thomas Miller of Holton, grandchildren:  Iris Lea Adkinson and Kylie Mae Adkinson, her significant other, John Espinoza of Topeka, her parents, Samuel T. and Lupita M. Holiday of Kayenta, AZ., siblings:  Harriett Helena Begaii of Kayenta, AZ, Herman H. Holiday of Kayenta, AZ.., Carol J. Todecheene of Kayenta, AZ., Lupita A. Holiday of St. George, UT, Mable B. Austin of Kayenta, AZ., Corina S. Holiday-Boxtin of Albuquerque, NM., and Samantha M Guyy of Albuquerque, NM., 18 nieces, 14 nephews, 9 great nieces and 8 great nephews.

Lisa will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour.  Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Loleta Miller Memorial Fund and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 West Sixth Ave., Topeka, Kansas  66603.
