Rosalinda Rosie Mendoza

Rosalinda “Rosie” Mendoza, 55, Topeka died Friday, September 5, 2008, at a Topeka hospital with family members present.

She was born September 21, 1952 in Topeka, to Juan and Petra Sanchez Mendoza who preceded her in death.

Rosie was employed many years at the Topeka Association for Retarded Citizens (TARC).

Survivors include: four sisters, Mary Chavez, Rita (Ruben) Hernandez, Ramona (Cappy) Burnett and Rebeca Mendoza (Roberto Vargas), five brothers, Max (Connie), Peter (Nina), John (Virginia), Jacinto, and Marc “Junior” Tavares.

Rosie will lie in state from 5 to 8:00 P.M. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  A private family service will be held Tuesday.  Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
