Michelle Walters

Michelle Walters, 26, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday August 13, 2008 at Stormont-Vail Health Care.

She was born September 28, 1981 in Topeka, the daughter of Larry and Vickie (Logan) Walters.  Michelle was a 2000 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School where she was active in the marching band.  She later attended the Kaw Valley Vocation Technical School.  Michelle was active in 4-H participating in photography, rabbits and dog agility.

Michelle was employed by St. Francis Health Center as a post operative technician.  She was known as a hard worker and in her leisure time enjoyed working on cars with her husband.

She was married to Oscar Gonzalez on August 14, 2002 in Topeka.  He survives.

Other survivors include; her mother Vickie Walters and fiancé Don Craig of Tecumseh,  grandmother Margaret Walters of Topeka, and sister Jamie Dodds and her husband Chad of Topeka.  A niece Kaley Walters of Topeka also survives.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be at a later date in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
