Beverly Jo (Parnell) Oliver

Beverly Jo (Parnell) Oliver,  70, of Topeka, died July 5, 2008 at her home.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 22, 1937 the daughter of Everett F. and Wanetta P. (Gibbs) Parnell.  Beverly was a 1956 graduate of Topeka High School.

She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church where she was a C.C.D. Teacher for ten years from 1969 to 1979 and was the C.C.D. High School Coordinator for two years. 

Beverly was a homemaker.

She married James B. Oliver at the Assumption Catholic Church on December 26, 1955.  He preceded her in death on December 26, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Charolete Parnell.

Beverly is survived by two sons, James Michael Oliver and his companion Cindy Rickert, and David Martin Oliver,  four grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Katherine and Adam Oliver,  and a sister Barbara Jean McCullough and her husband Bill all of Topeka.

Beverly will lie in state at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Wednesday after 6:00 p.m. where a Parish Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
