Jayne E. Hillrichs

Jayne Elizabeth Hillrichs, 87, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday June 24, 2008 at Midland Hospice House.

She was born August 24, 1920 in Topeka, the daughter of Fieldon and Ruth (Akerstrom) Cunningham.

Jayne was a buyer and manager for various ladies apparel shops in Topeka for many years before she retired.

She was married to Louis “Don” Hillrichs on October 22, 1938 in Topeka.  He preceded her in death on March 10, 1994.  She also was preceded in death by a son John Hillrichs on April 13, 2006, two grandsons, a great grand daughter, and a sister Julia Kistler.

Jayne is survived by a son Brad Hillrichs (Michele) of Lake Perry, four daughters, Susan Nazzaro of Santa Clarita, CA, Ruthann Nocktonick (Adam) of Mayetta, Donna Davis of Enterprise and Patricia Drake (David) of Wakarusa and a sister Dorothy Davis of Lees Summit, MO.  Seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Jayne will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.  She will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
