David Y. Munoz

David Y. Munoz, 26, of Topeka, died May 23, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on June 25, 1981 the son of Tomas A. and Luz Maria (Yepez) Munoz.  He graduated from Topeka High School in 1999 with honors.

David was the Manager of Lupita’s Restaurant.

He will be remembered for his love of children and animals.  David also enjoyed eating sushi, and loved anything with electronics and computers.

He is survived by his parents, Tomas and Luz Maria Munoz of Topeka, one sister, Luz Borrego and husband Jose of Topeka, four brothers, Tomas Y. Munoz III of Mexico and his wife Eurneice of Springfield, Missouri, Manuel Jose Munoz and wife Cora of Topeka, Jose Martin Munoz and wife Martha of Topeka, Luis Fernando Munoz of Topeka and his wife Karla of Mexico, and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his two dogs, Addidas and Baxter and his cat Callie, whom he dearly loved.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

David will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Vigil Service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
