Donald E.Waggle, 66, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at a local hospital. Don was born in Osborne, Kansas on September 18,1941, the son of Ross and Edna (Christopherson) Waggle.
Don graduated from Osborne High School with the class of 1959. Don was a member of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1970 and served on the USS Agerholm during the Vietnam War.
He founded WH Scale Company in 1983.
Don graduated from Osborne High School with the class of 1959. Don married Marilyn Cole on October 1, 1960, she survives. He is also survived by one son Jim Waggle and wife Rossanna, one daughter Angela Waggle all of Topeka; five grandchildren, Bo Waggle, Adam Waggle, Porscha Waggle and Amber Toy of Topeka and Austin Toy of Arizona; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Waggle, Anthony Ramirez, Alec Waggle, Alexis Lindley and Christian Ramirez of Topeka; four brothers, Jerome Waggle of Topeka, Doyle Waggle of Missouri, Robert Waggle and Jerry Waggle of Salina and two sisters Bonnie Bruce of Wyoming and Patty Carlson of Australia. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Henry Waggle and a granddaughter Jessica Waggle.
Mr. Waggle will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by Philip Billard Post #1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
