Lucille McDermott

Lucille McDermott, 83, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Manor Care of Overland Park.

Lucille was born July 27, 1924 in Stoughton, MA the daughter of Walerjan and Helen Szymkiewiczi Rogalski.  She was a 1944 graduate of Brockton Business College.

She was employed as a clerk typist for an Advertising Agency.

Lucille was a member of Mater Dei’s Holy Name Parish.

She was married to Leo E. McDermott on June 27, 1948 in Brockton, MA.  He preceded her in death on June 30, 1989.

Survivors include one son Paul McDermott of Kansas City, Missouri and  one granddaughter Nicole Dubbs of Topeka, Kansas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Mater Dei’s Holy Name Church.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Mrs. McDermott will lie in state after 2:00  p.m. on Tuesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m.
