Jeanine K. Avila

Jeanine K. Avila, 43, of Topeka, died March 7, 2008 at her home.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on February 2, 1965 the daughter of Leslie Eugene and Opal Lavina (Rosebraugh) Baker.

Jeanine liked puzzles, crosswords, cooking & watching the food channel, and plants. She loved playing with her grandchildren and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her husband Dale Avila, two daughters, Tanya Baker & Danielle Baker, one son Dale Avila, Jr., and two grandchildren Jacob and Justin Chester. She is also survived by two stepdaughters Shelly Thorpe and Kelly Hubert, all of Topeka, and four step-grandchildren, Drew Davis, Kyler Hubert, Devin Thorpe, Kolton Hubert.  Two sisters survive and one brother predeceased her.

Jeanine will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Tuesday, after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
