Rose M. Beurman, 94, of Topeka, died March 4, 2008 at the Rossville Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on April 29, 1913 the daughter of Hugo and Rose (Fellman) Lebbert. Rose was a Supervisor for the Luce Press for 20 years retiring in 1975. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society at the church. Rose married Emil J. Beurman in Leavenworth, Kansas on May 9, 1931. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1989. She is survived by a son John C. Beurman and wife Joanna of Topeka, three grandchildren, Todd Beurman and wife Carolyn of Plano, TX., Tammy Stroth of Topeka and Chris Beurman and wife Kelli of Olathe, Ks. and seven great grandchildren; Lily, Annie, Trevor, Jarret and Conner Beurman and Bryan and Blake Stroth. One brother John E. Lebbert and wife Kay of Topeka and two sisters, Theresa Swiderski of Leavenworth and Dolores Lebbert of Topeka also survive. Mrs. Beurman will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00 p.m. where an Altar Society Rosary will be at 3:30 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
