Raymond Hans

Raymond Charles Hans, 75, of Berryton, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Midland Hospice.

Raymond was employed by USD #450 Shawnee Heights before he retired in 1995.

He was born September 29, 1932 in Surprise, NE the son of John and Anna Abraham Hans.  Raymond moved to Topeka in 1988 coming from Eagle, NE.  He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Raymond was married to Merle Maxine Onstott on December 18, 1955 in Yuma, Arizona.  She preceded him in death June 1, 2003.  A daughter Sandra Reynolds also preceded him in death on January 1, 2007.

He is survived by; one daughter, Brenda Blum of Auburn, one brother Lawrence Hans of Lincoln, NE and one sister Ella Sanley of Seward, NE.  Seven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Hans was cremated.  Memorial Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Private inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel (Memorial Park) Cemetery at a later date.
