Consuelo Hurtado

Consuelo Hurtado, 82, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 at her home.

She was born April 20, 1925 at Guadalara, Mexico the daughter of Adolfo and Maria Aguirre Hurtado.

Mrs. Hurtado was married to Donaciano Iriarte in Mexico.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include:  three daughters; Maria Gamez, Rebecca Yriarte and Hilda Regalado all of Topeka; one son, Jesus Iriarte (Maria Socorro) of Topeka; one brother, Jesus Hurtado in Mexico.  Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by three children, Donaciano Jr., Rackel and Elizabeth and three brothers, Roberto, Jose and Sotero.

Mrs. Hurtado will lie in state at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Consuelo’s funeral service will be held at Jerusalem Church, 1407 SE 6th St., on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
