Augustine Gamino

Augustin Gamino, 64, of Topeka, died September 18, 2007 at his home. 

Mr. Gamino was born in Wilder, Kansas on May 28, 1943, the son of  Sostenes and Juana (Aguilar) Gamino. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Gamino worked as a machine operator for General Motors prior to his retirement in June of 2003. 

Augustin was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, American Legion, Eagles Lodge and the United Auto Workers Union.

He is survived by two brothers; Manuel Gamino of Kansas City, Kansas and Michael Gamino and his wife Tracy of Topeka, three nieces and three nephews. 

Mr. Gamino will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday after 2:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10;00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
