Mary L. Zulaica

Mary L. Zulaica, also known as Marie, 86, of Topeka, died July 29, 2007 at her home.

She was born October 20, 1920 in Wynona, OK the daughter of Arthur Edward and Ann Frances (Fitzpatrick) Preston.

Mary had worked for Columbia Printers and for the State of Kansas for eleven years prior to going to work at the US Post Office as a clerk.

She enjoyed doing genealogy research on her family, loved animals and liked antiques.

Mary was a member of Mater Dei's Assumption Catholic Church and the United Postal Worker's Local Union.

Mary is survived by her daughter Maria Anne Zulaica and by a brother, Arthur Xavier Preston both of the home.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday at Brennan-Mathjena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.  Mary will lie in state at Mater Dei's Assumption Church on Thursday after 1:00 p.m.  A parish rosary will be prayed at the church at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
