Mildred Catherine Hubele, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Midland Hospice House. She was 98.
Mrs. Hubele taughtt in a one room school house for many years. She later was emplopyed at St. John's Hospital in Salina.
Mrs. Hubele was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church in Topeka.
She was born in Chapman, on January 9, 1909, the daughter of Joseph Byrne and Amelia Miller Byrne. Her husband, Lewis Hubele preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Giersch and her husband Lyle, Topeka and three grandchildren, Lynn Bishop, Topeka; Ron Giersch, Kansas City, MO and Janet Cairns and husband Mark, Lawrence. Five great grandchildren also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Tampa, KS.
Mildred Catherine Hubele will be in repose after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
