Mary G. Angel, 74, of Topeka, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 26, 2007 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
Mrs. Angel was employed by National Reserve Life Inusrance Co. for many years.
She later, with her husband, Marvin Merillat founded Marquee Vending Company.
Subsequent to her retirement she represented Fairmont Foods as a grocery store
demonstrator.
She was a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Mary delighted in sharing time and activities with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary was born in Williamstown, Kansas on November 23, 1932, the daughter of
Arthur Carder and Kathryn Navarre Carder. She was married to Marvin Merillat in
1954. He died September 6, 1972.
She then was married to William Angel. He preceded her in death in 1994. Her
parents and a brother, Arthur Carder are also deceased.
Survivors include two sons, John Merillat and his partner, Tom Hawkins, Modesto,
California; Michael Merillat, Topeka; a daughter, Kimberly and her husband Josef
Cibulski, Topeka; two sisters, Dorothy Bracken, Topeka and Donna Lee Reynolds,
Medford, Oregon. Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Jerry Volz at 11:00 o’clock
Wednesday morning at Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will follow in
Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Angel will be in repose after 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at BrennanMathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00
p.m. A Parish Vigil Prayer Service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m.
