Genevieve Agnes “Jeannie” Kammer, 87, Topeka, passed away at her home Sunday April 29, 2007.
Miss Kammer was employed by John Morrell Meats and later for Ohse Meats before she retired.
She was born January 21, 1920 in Topeka, the daughter of Michael and Pauline Suppes Kammer.
Genevieve was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by: four sisters; Marie Penrod of Topeka, Elizabeth Ann Riedel of Valley Falls, Sister Sophia Kammer, ASC of Wichita and Bernadine Schwindt of El Dorado and a nephew who was her caregiver, Dan Cool of Grantville. Numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Miss Kammer will be in repose after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities and sent in care of the funeral home.
