Tony R. Lopez

Tony R. Lopez, 69, Topeka, passed away Thursday April 26, 2007 at Midland Hospice.

Tony was employed by Seymour Foods, Coca Cola and Eventide Convlescent Center before he retired.

He was born July 9, 1937 in Topeka, the son of Tony A. and Carmen Marquez Lopez.  His grandfather ws Pedro Lopez founder of Pedro Lopez Seasonings.

Tony was a member of Mater Dei Parish.

He was married tto Sara Martinez on June 22, 1968 in Topeka, she survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Xiomara M. Lopez and her husband Phillip Doll of Euless, TX and Janet M. Catchart and her husband Robert of Topeka; two gandchildren Mitchell and Sabrina and three step grandchildren; two nephews, Fernando and Juan Mendoza; two nieces, Veronica and Delores and a great nephew Bobby.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mater Dei's Holy Name Church.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Tony will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Brennan-Mathena Funerral Home.  The fmily will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a parish rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m.
