Samuel (Sam) Coulbourne Waters, Jr., 37, of Topeka, died Friday, February 16, 2007.
Mr. Waters owned Waters Painting.
Sam attended Highland Park High School. He was a member of Perry Post #142 of the American Legion. Sam was an avid golfer. Sam had great interest in youth activities and coached little league football and softball.
He was born in Albany, Georgia on September 18, 1969, the son of Samuel Waters and Sharon Blevins Waters.
Survivors include his father, Samuel Waters, Sr., Albany, Georgia, his mother, Sharon Waters, Topeka, Kansas; two sons, Mark Garcia, Tucson, Arizona; Samuel Waters III and one daughter, Casey Waters, Topeka and their mother, Veronica Waters, Topeka; three sisters, Gretchen Townsend and Heather O’Connor, Albany, Georgia, Staci Hawkins, Topeka. Twelve nieces and nephews also survive.
He was the grandson of Elizabeth Blevins and great-grandson of Della and Clifford Collett, who preceded him in death.
The funeral for Sam Waters will be Thursday morning at 11:00 o’clock at Lowman United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He will be in repose after 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
