Lillie Elnicki

Lillie Elnicki,, 89, of Topeka, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 14, 2007 at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Elnicki was born in Cpaldo, KS on December 9, 1917, the daughter of Gaetano Merando and Carmella Serra Merando.  She was married to Rudy Elnicki in Frontenac, on August 19, 1937.  He died March 1, 2002.

She ws a member of Mater Deei Parish at the Church of the Assumption.  Lillie will be fondly remembered as a loving mother by her family and as an outstanding cook by both family and friends.

Survivors include four daughters, Carol Fleck, Van alstyne, TX; Charlene Blitsch, Overland Park; Elizabeth "Betty" Waggoner, Topeka and Barbara Burton, Kansas City, MO.

Other survivors include a sister Angeline Brunskill, Calpado, KS, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Elnicki will ie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the fmily will receive friendsfrom 6:30 until 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at ten o'clokc at the Church of the Assumption.  Interment will follow in Mount Cemetery.
