Angeline “Angie” Torres, 75, of Topeka, passed away November 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Angie was born on August 29, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma. Daughter of Ferl C. and Beulah Harrison Flanagan.
Angie married Robert Gerard Torres at Assumption Catholic Church on June 6, 1963. Robert was in the United States Air Force so they traveled all of the world together. For majority of her life she worked as a pediatric nurse, later devoted her time to being a homemaker and provided for her family through the years. Angie loved cooking, especially around the holidays. She also enjoyed traveling and going on road trips with her husband. They would pick out a random spot on the map and that’s where they would start their adventure. They loved to square dance together. Back in their younger years they were a part of a square-dancing club. Angie loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would spoil them to no end.
Angie is preceded in death by both of her parents and her daughter, Susan A. Torres.
She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, her daughter Tracy (George) Moore; brother, Thomas (Connie) “Tommy” Ferl Flanagan; grandchildren, Heather Santo, Collin Bicknell, George S. Moore III, and Evan R. Moore; and great grandchildren, Corbin Wilson and Cohen Santo. She is also survived by her caregiver Alyssa Gonzales.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 Wednesday, November 20, 2019 followed by rosary to start at 10:30. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. at Brennan Mathena Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
