Ann Margaret Cooper, 59, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus.
She was born October 12, 1963, in Topeka, the daughter of Jesse Tetuan and Jenny (Torrez) Tetuan. She graduated from Hayden High School in 1982.
Mrs. Cooper worked as a cook for Hayden High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She enjoyed coloring, watching soap operas, baking, watching the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, and spending time outside. Her greatest joy was spending time with her three grandchildren.
She married Robert Dean Cooper on October 2, 1984, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Topeka. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include her children, Christopher Cooper of Topeka, Melissa Cooper of Topeka, and Adam Cooper (Angelina) of Berryton; grandchildren, Carson Herrman of Topeka, Adalina Cooper of Berryton, and Lilyanna Cooper of Topeka; sisters, Anna Marie Tetuan (Linda Weaver) of Tecumseh, Rita Tetuan of Topeka, Jennie Heim of Topeka; brothers, Joe Tetuan (Mary) of Tecumseh, and John Tetuan (Theresa) of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-6:00pm, Sunday, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave. Topeka, KS 66603, and a Rosary will be prayed at 5:30pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Monday, November 14th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, sent in care of the funeral home.
