Austin James Gardner, 22, of Topeka, KS died Monday, April 22, 2019.
He was born February 5, 1997 in Topeka, KS the son of Ken and Karen (Creek) Gardner.
Austin was a 2015 graduate of Jefferson West High School and was currently working for Dr. Pepper. In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming.
Austin is survived by his mother, Karen (Jason) Meredith, his father, Ken (Amy) Gardner, brothers, Chance (Kayla) Gardner, Aidan Gardner, step siblings, D.J. Willey, Dustin Shepard, Trevere Shepard, Caeden Meredith, Kiernan Meredith, Kennedy Meredith, his paternal grandmother, Connie Nordyke, Maternal great-grandmother, JoAnn Mzhickteno, and his soul mate, Taylor Palumbo. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Chester Gardner, maternal grandparents, Lewis Creek and Brenda Potts.
Austin will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Woodshed, 1901 N. Kansas Avenue. Following his Life Celebration all are invited to stay for a reception. Private burial of his urn will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Austin Gardner Memorial Fund in care of any Azura Credit Union.
