Benita Bonificia Del Toro

March 21, 1941 — August 2, 2020

Benita Bonificia Del Toro, 79, of Topeka, KS died August 2, 2020 at the University of Kansas Health Systems St. Francis Campus.

She was born March 21, 1941 in Rock, KS the daughter of Modesto and Angelina (Cierra) Perez. 

Benita enjoyed crocheting, sewing, square dancing, playing games and rooting on her Nebraska Cornhuskers. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, friends and watching her granddaughters play softball.  Benita will be greatly missed by all.

Benita married Cruz Del Toro, he preceded her in death.  She then married Levi Barros, he also preceded her in death.  Benita is survived by five children, Felix “Cruz” (Laura) Del Toro of Hoyt, KS, Michelle (Daniel) Du Valier of Topeka, Constance (Tom) Wilson of Topeka, La Von Del Toro of Topeka, La Shell (Isaac) Jones of Topeka along with five siblings, Cruz (Hermina) Vargas of Wichita, KS, Joe (Rosie) Vargas of LaVista, NE, Ray (Darlene) Vargas of Topeka, Tomasita (Donald) Reyes of Hershey, NE , Juanita (Manuel) Cuellar of Rosco, TX.  Sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.  She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Manuel Vargas, Rueben Perez, Richard Perez, David Angel Perez, Mary Perez, Rose Perez and Ester Zanderholm.  

The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home Cremation will follow.
