Beverly Ann Tetuan

Beverly Ann Tetuan, age 87, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.

Beverly was born on September 8, 1934, in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Louis A. and Jennie E. (Proffitt) Campbell. She attended schools in Missouri, Texas, and Nebraska before moving to Topeka and graduating from Topeka High School. Beverly was part of the Civil Air Patrol in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska while attending high school there.

Beverly worked for a local attorney, an investment firm and for Security Benefit Group, where after 15 years, she retired. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and was a consistent volunteer at the schools her children attended.

She married Jose Tetuan Jr in Chillicothe, Missouri on May 3, 1954. They were married for 55 years. He proceeded her in death on June 4, 2009. Beverly is survived by her three sons, Anthony Tetuan of Sapulpa, OK, Robert (Judy) Tetuan of Euless, TX, and Patrick (Terrie) Tetuan of Topeka; and six daughters, Deborah (Jim) Davis, Cynthia Wilson (John Garrett), Nancy (Mark) Jordan, Kathleen “Gracie” Cline, Caroline (Mike) Hildebrandt, Cheryl (Matt) Flerlage all of Topeka, 19 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Donald, David and Richard Campbell; and her granddaughter, Samantha Coffee.

Mrs. Tetuan will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, where the family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M., and a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 23, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and/or St. Matthew Catholic Church and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
