Billy Ta-Rahn Henderson Sr.

Billy Ta-Rahn Henderson Sr., 44, of Topeka, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2023, at his home.

He was born June 20, 1979, in Peoria, Illinois, to Billy Joe Cox and Evelyn Delois (Luarks) Hill.  Billy attended Highland Park High School in Topeka. 

Billy enjoyed fixing cars and installing stereo systems, listening to music, cooking, and barbecuing for friends and family.  He also attended Victory City Tabernacle Church.

He is survived by his fiance Eunice Jones, children, Kahlia Henderson, Daiveon Drummond, Tahron Drummond,  Shaybrail Henderson, Anshanai Henderson, Billy Henderson, Jr., Romello Rodriguez, Jashaune Henderson, King Henderson, and Nevaeh Dice; mother, Evelyn Hill; brothers, Frederick Lee Luarks, Anthony Craig Henderson, Francisco Plakio, and Joshua Plakio; sister, Kayla Plakio; and stepfather, Alonzo Plakio.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Jolanda Jame Henderson; and stepmother, Terri Plakio.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 10:00am, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
